About Us

windowAngels of God Clothing Closet was started by young Katelyn in June 2009. The doors of the clothing closet were opened to those in need November 2009. Angels of God provides clothing and more to those in need at no cost. When Angels started, we had no idea it would grow into the mission it has. Many of the local agencies and shelters refer clients to us.

Angels of God Clothing Closet is set up in a storefront located at 334 South Broadway, Pitman, NJ 08071. It is set up just like a store. Clothing is hung on racks and shelves by gender and size. Clients that would like help need to have a referral letter from social services, principal, pastor, caseworker etc. Once they have a referral letter the client calls Angles of God for an appointment were they will fill out a registration form and are introduced to the clothing closet. We do not charge for any of the items in the clothing closet. The items that are donated to us are given away for free to those in need. We will have a yard sale fundraiser once a year where we ask the community for donations of unwanted items and open the doors of the clothing closet to the public. This helps us raise funds so we can continue to keep the doors of the clothing closet open and serve those in need.

Not only do we provide clothing. but we also provide toiletries, diapers and baby items. There is the “toy corner” were children can pick out a few favorite toys, books, etc. to take home. Throughout the year we hold different drives, such as our Back to School Drive where we fill backpack full of school supplies, our Christmas toy drive, Easter basket drive, Baby Bundles, Comfort and Joy drive where we collect new sleeping bags and stuffed animals and give them to children in local homeless shelters. Lastly, our “summer fun buckets”consists of a sand bucket filled with a beach towel and suntan lotion. We thank everyone that supports our yearly drives or donates your unwanted items to us so we can help those in need. Without your continued support Angels of God Clothing Closet would not be possible.
